Thanks for that, it certainly looks to be heading in the right direction, so to speak. But I don't think it is HMS Dreadnought - the one in the picture here appears to have two masts, and the front mast is actually taller than that on HMS Dreadnought (see another bow shot at http://www.viewimages.com/Search.aspx?mid=3315328). She also looks rather wider, and little details such as the position of the anchors on the bow don't quite match. But it is so similar that I think it must be a later ship or something - it's given me the pointer I needed to get started with some further investigation, thanks.
